Opći opis
Confocal laser scanning microscope is a light microscope used for monitoring and recording of living and inanimate microscopic specimens using fluorescence and reflected light. In this method, the specimen is illuminated point by point, and reemitted or reflected light is detected and recorded to build an image in computer memory. The main advantage of confocal microscopy vs. wide-field microscopy is its capability for optical sectioning, i.e. obtaining a sharp image of a thin section of a thick specimen. Confocal microscopy has a wide scope of applications similar to classical light microscopy. Our instrument is based on an inverse microscope.
