  • Princip rada i mjerna tehnika

The instrument measures the specific surface area of a powder samples by using B.E.T. method. Nitrogen gas is employed as the probe molecule and is exposed to a solid under investigation at liquid nitrogen conditions.
Porosity of the powder sample is determined by the adsorption-desorption method using nitrogen as the adsorbent. The pore volume and the pore size distribution are determined according to the t-plot method and B.J.H. method.
Before analyzing the samples, it is necessary to prepare them by removing moisture and other contaminants.
The instrument measures a specific surface area greater than 0.01 m2 / g.
The amount of sample required for analysis is about 2 cm3 (smaller tubes) or about 6 cm3 (larger tubes, for samples with a total surface area of less than 1 m2).
