The Blaine air permeability measuring device performs a test to determine the fineness of cement, lime and similar powders expressed in terms of their specific surface area according to the above test standards. The fineness of cement can be automatically measured as a specific surface by observing the time required for the flow of a fixed amount of air through a compacted cement layer of certain dimensions and porosity.
