3D camera for generating point clouds with the possibility of robust operation in harsh environments. The camera meets the IP65/67 standard and is therefore protected in the presence of dirt, dust, water splashes and cleaning agents.
The 3D camera is located in the Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technologies (CRTA) within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, in the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems.
The N35 is a 3D camera manufactured by Ensenso intended for the acquisition of 3D data (point clouds) of objects at working distances up to 3000 mm. The camera comes with an object-oriented API for C ++, C # and .NET. Applications of the system include 3D classification and localization of objects and 3D reconstruction via point clouds (areas: quality assurance, bin picking, (de) palletizing, warehouse automation, etc.).
