UV-Vis spectrophotometers are mainly used to identify and quantify substances.
The ultra-fast scanning function enables data collection at a speed of 29,000 nm / min. By performing repeated measurements, the process of changing samples in chemical reactions can be analyzed in a short time.

Princip rada i mjerna tehnika
Six measurement modes are directly accessible: photometric values measurements, spectrum acquisition, quantification measurements, kinetics studies, time course methods and bio methods:
1. Photometric
Measures the photometric value at one or more wavelengths (up to eight).
2. Spectral
Measures the spectrum of samples using wavelength scanning.
3. Quantitatively
From the measurement of a series of standards it generates a calibration curve on the basis of which unknown concentrations are calculated.
4. Kinetics
It measures the change in absorbance as a function of time from which information on enzyme activity is obtained. A kinetic measurement method or a velocity measurement method can be selected.
5. "Time Course" method
Measures changes over time in photometric values at a given wavelength.
6. Biomethod
Quantifies DNA or protein concentrations.
