Opći opis
Fluorescent Activated Cell Sorting, or FACS, utilizes Flow cytometry to provide a fast, objective and quantitative measurement of intra- and extracellular properties, not including morphology, for sorting a heterogeneous mixture of cells. This is the most common method of currently separating cells and involves encapsulating cells into small liquid droplets and selectively labeled with electric charges and sorted by an external electric field. This instrument is fitted with three lasers with nine channels in total for detection and analysis of cell markers, and with a possibility of simultaneous sorting of four cell populations from a given sample.

Opis tržišne prilike
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb is the only institution in Zagreb that possesses such a functional device available for research and experimental needs. We are also the only institution in Zagreb that regularly uses it and, moreover, in various domestic and foreign research projects. Because of the experience and the knowledge of the method, we are able to offer and achieve successful cooperation with other scientific groups in the country and region - wher, after agreeing on the required population, we conduct the procedure, analysis and sorting completely independent within the Medical Faculty.
Opis usluge
Preparation, tuning, optimization and implementation of cell sorting protocols and analysis of results in agreement with associates. Collaboration can be achieved through joint projects or as a service.
